We’re a family run bakery based in Bolton and we’ve been baking perfect pasties since 1938, we’ve grown as a business since we first started but our values stay the same.
It’s simple; all we want to do is provide you with delicious, freshly baked products and exceptional customer service.
Who we are
We’re Carrs Pasties, Bolton’s finest bakery. Passed down through three generations, Bolton is at the heart of everything we do, it’s where we started our business and we’re proud to still be supplying pasties to the people of Bolton today. Some of our staff have been with us for over 30 years, serving, baking, producing and delivering our products and it’s because of them that we are where we are today.
The Carrs Pasties way
When you produce as many fresh pasties as we do, it’s essential that we’re able to work as a team within our bakery and shops but also with our customers. We pride ourselves on our customer service skills and we do everything that we can to work as a happy and efficient family. We work to maintain an excellent relationship with our customers whether they’re regulars in our shops or trade customers.

Our History
1938
Our shop on Halliwell Road opens. The mill workers used to queue around the block for pasties!
1968
The Queen drove past our Halliwell Road Shop
1975
The second generation takes over the business - Bernard, David, John, Veronica
1975
We opened our factory and shop on Manchester Road
1995
Our shop on Bolton Market opens (it later closed in 2018)
2013
Third generation take over

Winners of the Family Business of the Year award and We're Backing Bolton/Bury award at the Bolton and Bury Business Awards
2014
We refreshed our branding by changing the logo and adding our Bolton's Finest stamp.
2015
Our steak pasty was introduced to the core range
2016
We attended Bolton Food and Drink Festival for the first time and became a partner
2016
Our shop at Market Place Shopping Centre opened in December
2017
We began our sponsorship with Bolton Wanderers Football Club and opened the Carrs Pasties Family Stand
2017
After the success at the Bolton Food & Drink Festival we made our Cheese & Jalapeno pasty part of our core range
2017
After over 40 years we opened our new shop on Manchester Road and turned the old shop in to our Trade Shop
2018
We proudly won the Food & Drink Award at Insider Magazine's Made in the North West Awards
2019
Our vegan range was added to our shelves
2020
We finally created an online store so you can now place orders for delivery and C&C online
2020
After lots of demand we launched our Pasties by Post service.
